SYRENS, NANDA DEVI Sign With CAVITY RECORDS

Cavity Records has announced the signing of two new bands — SYRENS from Dallas, Texas and NANDA DEVI from Portland, Oregon.

SYRENS formed three years ago in the ever-flourishing Texas music scene and has honed its mathy metal sound. They are in the studio recording their Cavity Records debut that will be released in April 2009. Prior to the record release, they will tour with MY AMERICA IS WATCHING TIGERS DIE and NORTH.

NANDA DEVI joins Cavity Records just a year after forming. Alongside NORTH and YEAR OF NO LIGHT, NANDA DEVI will bolster Cavity Records' roster of punishingly heavy sludge metal bands with a style of music that is said to be for fans of MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT, EARTH, and NEUROSIS. The band will release the follow-up to the band's debut self-titled EP called "Fifth Season" on February 24. The group is working on tours for 2009 in support of the CD.
