SYSTEM OF A DOWN Album Delayed?
November 9, 2004SYSTEM OF A DOWN's new album tentatively titled "Hypnotize", appears to have had its projected release date pushed back to March 2005 from the previously announced January 18, 2005.
The new CD is the long-awaited follow-up to SYSTEM OF A DOWN's 2001 sophomore effort, "Toxicity", and its companion disc of leftover "Toxicity" tracks, 2002's "Steal This Album!"Rick Rubin is producing the new effort for his American Recordings label, with Jonny Polonsky engineering.
As previously reported, SYSTEM OF A DOWN have been confirmed for the 2005 edition of the Big Day Out festival. The trek, which is scheduled to kick off January 21 in Auckland, New Zealand, is also set to include appearances by BEASTIE BOYS, THE DONNAS and POWDERFINGER, among other acts.
