SYSTEM OF A DOWN To Auction Off 'B.Y.O.B.' Commando Uniform

July 12, 2005

Be the first — and only one — on your block to own one of the very uniforms worn by the army featured in SYSTEM OF A DOWN's celebrated video, "B.Y.O.B." The uniform is comprised of a one-piece black jumpsuit, black leather gloves, black military-style leather boots, a head rag, and the special visored head gear with the word "BUY" emblazoned across the front. The highest bidder will not only take home the military attire, but an autographed photo of SYSTEM OF A DOWN.

Starting today, Tuesday (July 12),SYSTEM OF A DOWN will auction off only one of these uniforms on eBay. The auction will last for seven days, the starting price will be $250 and there will be no reserve. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Veterans Hospital. To access the auction, log onto eBay.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN's new album, "Mezmerize", debuted at Number One on the Billboard/SoundScan charts, and "B.Y.O.B.", the first single from the album, maintains its Top 5 position at Active and Modern Rock radio. The band has just completed a tour of Europe and will kick off a major North American tour — their first since 2002 — on August 4 in Long Beach, CA. Over the course of the tour, SYSTEM OF A DOWN will headline some forty arena dates with THE MARS VOLTA as the tour's special guests.
