SYSTEM OF A DOWN Vocalist SERJ TANKIAN: New Video Interview Available

September 14, 2007

A video interview with SYSTEM OF A DOWN vocalist Serj Tankian conducted by HollyScoop.com can be viewed below.

As previously reported, Serj Tankian has announced details of his first tour in support of his debut solo album, "Elect the Dead". The trek begins on October 12 in Chicago, finishing up on October 28 in San Francisco. While Tankian intends to perform other material in addition to tracks from the album, he told The Pulse of Radio that he won't be playing SYSTEM songs. "You know, if I wanted to do SYSTEM songs, I'd do it with SYSTEM," he said. "This is another record, another project. We'll do a couple of covers, couple of acoustic songs that I'll break down with...there's a bonus CD that we're releasing with the premium package of the record, and so there's extra songs besides the songs on the record, so we'll be playing some of those as well."

Tankian will head overseas to open a European tour for FOO FIGHTERS following his U.S. run.

Tankian's live band will feature former and current members of GUNS N' ROSES and PRIMUS.

"Elect the Dead" comes out on October 23. Tankian issued a video this week for the album's first single, "Empty Walls".
