TAPPING THE VEIN: New Songs Posted Online
May 22, 2008Philadelphia's TAPPING THE VEIN has posted two new tracks "Party Favours" and "Complicate It" on its MySpace page. Both songs will appear on the band's new album, "Another Day Down", due in July in the U.S. through Dancing Ferret Records. "Party Favours" is also featured on Asleep By Dawn's exclusive Hot Topic compilation "Underground Club Mix 3" while "Complicate It" can also be found on "20 Years of Nuclear Blast", Nuclear Blast's 20-year-anniversary compilation.
"Another Day Down" was mixed by Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE) at RaxTrax in Chicago, Illinois and was mastered by Achim Khler (PRIMAL FEAR, BRAINSTORM) in Germany.
"We're very excited to be working with Neil on this," drummer Eric Fisher previously said in a statement. "Time and time again, on tour, we were told we sound much better live. I'd have to agree the band is heavier and more powerful live. I think we were able to capture that this time around with Neil."
Vocalist Heather Thompson added, "TAPPING THE VEIN took a new approach to the writing of this album and I am really pleased with the result. I think we've managed to streamline and 'pump it up,' so to speak, without sacrificing any of the emotional impact that we insist on."
TAPPING THE VEIN's last album, "The Damage", was released in 2002.
