TARJA TURUNEN's Brother Joins DESCENDED; Video Available

April 4, 2009

Tony Turunen, the brother of former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen, has joined the Finnish metal band DESCENDED as the group's new lead vocalist. The band says in a statement, "We are very proud and excited about this new situation. We haven't had time to record any music with Tony yet, but he will sing on the upcoming single. This of course means that the publishing of the single will be delayed, but be patient, it's going to be worth waiting."

Video footage of DESCENDED performing with Tony at a Finnish event called Rockit can be viewed at this location.

DESCENDED is:

Tony Turunen (Lead Vocals)
Petteri Soila (Guitar)
Tommi Ilonen (Keyboards)
Sami Saravo (Guitar, Unclean Vocals)
Aki Jalkanen (Bass)
Olli Vainionpää (Drums)
