TED NUGENT Blasts OBAMA's State Of The Union Address: 'I've Heard It All Before'

February 13, 2013

Legendary rocker Ted Nugent, who is an avid supporter of gun rights and antagonist of President Barack Obama, was in the House Chamber last night (Tuesday, February 12) when Obama delivered his State Of The Union address. Nugent attended the event as a guest of Steve Stockman, a Republican congressman from Texas who has previously talked of impeaching Obama over his gun control proposals.

Speaking to the Talk Radio News Service after the State Of The Union address, Nugent had the following reaction to Obama's speech (see video below): "I've heard it all before. Actions speak louder than words. I mean, who's buying that he's gonna bring about world peace, save the children, stop global warming and bring about fairness. God, I'm relieved. Aren't you relieved? I feel so much better now that we know those important issues are being addressed. You've gotta be kidding me. He's said it all before and either nothing happened or just the opposite happened. I'm afraid… and it pains me to say this, because I revere the American experience and I revere the system of we the people voting in our representatives based on their guidelines for the ultimate quality of of life in the history of the world, the U.S. Constitution Bill Of Rights. Painfully, this president does not represent that. Somehow he has bamboozled the people, enough people, to vote for him that he's actually gonna do what he says. And let's just identify it. So he's for all of the above energy independent procedures, he's all for all of the above? Then why hasn't he done any of the above? I just don't believe him. I'm heartbroke that the scam rambles on. So no, I'm not happy. I mean, I'm happy in spite of the speech."

Nugent was investigated by the Secret Service in April 2012 after saying that he would be "dead or in jail by this time next year" if Obama was re-elected.

While attending the National Rifle Association convention last year, Nugent, who had endorsed Mitt Romney in the general election, said, among other things, "If you don't know that our government is wiping its ass with the constitution, you're living under a rock. . . I'll tell you this right now: if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year. . . Our president, and attorney general, our vice president, Hillary Clinton — they're criminals. We're Americans because we defied the king. . . We are patriots, we are bravehearts. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"
