May 19, 2008

According to Slashgear.com, TED NUGENT confirmed his appearance on the Guitar Hero IV video game during a recent interview with a Detroit rock station. However, it won't just be his music that's included he's actually being featured in the game, similar to Slash and Tom Morello in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Activision, the producer of Guitar Hero, will introduce a new level of activity for IV. Drums, bass, vocals and guitar will be able to be played separately in the new game.

As previously reported, DEF LEPPARD will also be one of the featured artists on Guitar Hero IV when it is released later this year. The songs expected to be included are as follows: "Photograph", "Rock of Ages" and "Animal".

The Guitar Hero franchise has become a phenomenon, making many appearances in popular culture, and the games have become extremely popular as party games and hobbies. The series has sold over 14 million games, earning over $1 billion.
