TED NUGENT Has Warm Memories Of Working With CHRISTOPHER REEVE
October 13, 2004Although they came from totally different political directions, Ted Nugent had warm feelings for the late Christopher Reeve. Reeve invited Nugent to be part of a series of public service announcements in 2003 about the U.S. Constitution. Nugent told Launch Radio Networks that he was flattered by Reeve's decision to include him in the project: "His eyes welled up as he looked at me and said, 'I got a lot of grief, Ted, when I demanded that you were a part of this. But I told them that if Ted Nugent wasn't here, I'm not here. And he said there was a lot of controversy even mentioning the guns that I carry, the animals that I eat. And he goes, 'Dammit, that's what this is about!'"
"Superman" star Reeve, who became a quadriplegic after a 1995 horse-riding accident, died Sunday (Oct. 10) at age 52.
