TED NUGENT Helping Texas High School Band Get To Presidential Inauguration

January 14, 2005

Launch Radio Networks is reporting that Ted Nugent is doing his part to help a high school marching band get to Washington, D.C., for President Bush's inaugural. The Crawford High School band is the only high school group from Texas that's been invited to the festivities, but they can't afford the trip themselves, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald. Nugent, who's left Michigan and now calls Texas home, will play a benefit tomorrow (Saturday, January 15) at Crawford High School, and proceeds from the event will go to paying the travel expenses. President Bush, whose ranch is in Crawford, will be inaugurated on January 20.

Nugent kicks off a tour with country star Toby Keith on January 20 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
