TED NUGENT Interviewed By CLASSIC ROCK REVISITED
August 23, 2010Jeb Wright of Classic Rock Revisited recently conducted an interview with legendary rocker Ted Nugent. You can now listen to the chat in six parts below.
Nugent has taken responsibility for illegal deer baiting, according to The Pulse of Radio. On August 17 Nugent plead no contest to misdemeanor charges of killing an immature buck last February while hunting in Northern California. The kill was filmed and aired on his Outdoor Channel hunting show, "Spirit Of The Wild". California game wardens had seen the program and upon examination found that the deer was eating bait before it was killed. Per California law, baiting deer is illegal.
Nugent, who admitted he should have been better informed on the state's hunting laws, was also cited for not having a properly signed hunting tag, and was order to pay a $1,750 fine by a Yuba County Superior Court Judge.
Nugent told The Pulse of Radio that while he is still passionate about both music and hunting, it's hard to do them in the same time frame. "A real effective hunting climate is compromised by a musical creative climate," he said. "'Cause you're up late. 'Cause the creative juices flow as the emotions collide with midnight. And hunting is not the beneficiary of late-night musical exploratories."
