According to Mediaite.com, Neil Cavuto of Fox News asked legendary rocker Ted Nugent on March 26 what he thought about the coming fall election (Nugent had referred to it as a "new independence day," which launched Nugent on a crazed tirade about how the politicians are pigs and how "we gotta kill the pigs." Cavuto told Nugent, "I know you are talking humorously about that," to which Nugent replied, "Not really, it's metaphoric."

When pressed, Nugent clarified by saying that he believed in the Martin Luther King and Glenn Beck style of non-violence.
