TESLA Bassist Issues Post-European Tour Update
July 6, 2007TESLA bassist Brian Wheat has issued the following update:
"Just got back from Europe. It was the first time we've been back since 1991. The reception was off the hook.
"Not knowing what to expect, we got to London and the crowd was fucking amazing. They were one of the loudest crowds ever in the history of TESLA playing shows for 20 years. The fans there we talked to backstage and on the street were so happy to see us back and it made us feel very overwhelmed with joy.
"Next day we were off to Holland to play Plato and again it was off the hook. We played to a jam-packed 700-seat; hot and sweaty rock and roll in your face and again very loud crowd. And the reception again was overwhelming. Got to meet our new Dutch brother Cornelius.
"Next day it was off to the Arrow fest classic rock festival with AEROSMITH, SCORPIONS, THIN LIZZY, THE DOORS and STEVE VAI, plus many more acts. We were the first act on the bill so we didn't know what to expect but guess what? The place was packed. We played a blazing one-hour set and the crowd response was amazing.
"Then we finally got to meet the one and only crazy man Rudolf Heinz and his partner Gabriel from the Bold Brothers, these guys are the coolest. TESLA wants to give them a big thank you for taking a chance and bringing TESLA back to Holland.
"Overall this was a great trip and there is a European tour being planned for the fall with our English super-agent Steve Strange. Now we are back in the States ready to kick ass and play some more killer shows."
