TESLA Guitarist Talks About DAVE RUDE BAND In New Audio Interview

December 22, 2010

Rock My Monkey recently conducted an interview with TESLA guitarist Dave Rude. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

DAVE RUDE BAND, the power trio led by the TESLA guitarist, released an exclusive CD-single in San Francisco, California on December 10. The band's headlining performance at Bottom of the Hill served as the release party for the brand new track "Own The Night".

Commented Rude: "We've been writing and recording lots of new songs and they've mostly been going in a heavier direction. This new song is one we're really proud of 'cause it's very uniquely 'us' — heavy and aggressive, but still melodic and unexpected."

In October, DAVE RUDE BAND released the first of its new recordings — a song called "The Key" — which is available on the group's just-unveiled new web site, www.daverudeband.com.

"For years we've stayed in touch with our fans through the various social networking sites out there and it's served us well, but we felt it was time to get our own permanent web site that we can stick with regardless of which new networking site is hip at any given time," explained Rude. "This way people can always find us online and check out songs, updates, videos, merch, etc., even if they're the one person left in the known universe who isn't on Facebook yet. And we wanted to get the new songs out at the same time as our web site went up, so we set it up for people to get free downloads of our new songs when they sign up for our email list on www.daverudeband.com."
