TESLA Pulls Out Of Germany's BANG YOUR HEAD!!!; PINK CREAM 69 Steps In
June 22, 2009Californian rockers TESLA have canceled their appearance at the Bang Your Head!!! festival on June 27 in Balingen, Germany due to "scheduling conflicts." The band — which is booked to play the Gods Of Metal festival in Italy the same day — states, "The airlines flight schedule would not allow for us to be there on time. We are sorry for any fans that were planning to see TESLA that day in Germany."
Stepping in as TESLA's replacement at Bang Your Head!!! will be the German/British melodic hard rock band PINK CREAM 69.
TESLA's latest album, "Forever More", sold more than 16,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on October 7, 2008 on Tesla Electric Company Recordings. The European version of the album, which was made available on November 7 via Frontiers Records, contains two bonus tracks not found on the American version.
For "Forever More", TESLA reunited with producer Terry Thomas, who was behind the boards for the band's 1994 gold-certified "Bust A Nut" album, and engineered by Michael Rosen who worked with TESLA on "Into The Now".
PINK CREAM 69's latest album, "In10sity", was released in March 2007 via Frontiers Records.
"In10sity" was a special album in the group's history. On one hand, it marked the band's debut for its new label, Frontiers Records. On the other, it was PINK CREAM 69's tenth regular studio effort and celebrated the group's 20th anniversary. The CD was recorded from October 2006 to January 2007 at the famous House Of Music studios near Stuttgart, Germany and was once again produced by Dennis Ward. Besides a truly dynamic and explosive production the album blows the listener away with a blistering set of songs.
