TESTAMENT Guitarist Auctioning Amp Used During Recording Of 'First Strike Still Deadly'
September 21, 2007TESTAMENT guitarist Alex Skolnick is auctioning the amp that he used during the recording sessions for the band's "First Strike Still Deadly" album.
Commented Alex: "[This is the] Rivera combo amp which I used to record both ATTENTION DEFICIT albums (with Tim Alexander and Michael Manring),my SKOL PATROL demo (my first recorded attempt at jazz/improv) and the first step of my working with TESTAMENT again, the album 'First Strike Still Deadly'. Every track on every one of these albums was recorded on this amp. It's one of the best-sounding I've ever heard. I'm getting rid of it mainly because it's heavy and living in New York City, I need a more portable amp. But if travel is not an issue and you want an amp for home or studio, I'd honestly say you can't do much better."
