TESTAMENT: Title Track Of New Album Available For Free Download
April 8, 2008A brand new TESTAMENT track, entitled "The Formation of Damnation", has been made available for download at this location. The song is the title cut of the veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers' new album, which is scheduled for release in North America on April 29 via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor and can be seen at this location.
The band recorded "The Formation of Damnation" in part with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE) at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California.
As previously reported, TESTAMENT will be the featured artist on MTV for an entire week later this spring as part of the channel's "52/52" campaign. Performances including footage shot last Wednesday (April 2) on the Alcatraz Island (more commonly known simply as Alcatraz) and video material that was filmed at this past Sunday's (April 6) concert at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City along with interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage will air throughout the week.
MTV's "52/52" is a brand new way for the channel to give unprecedented exposure to unsigned artists, indie bands, and established acts on major labels in a completely new and innovative way. MTV handpicks one band/artist per week for the entire year and gives them the equivalent of roughly 11 hours of on-air commercial time per week on the channel.
TESTAMENT will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, April 18 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the program live via the Internet between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.
