TEXTURES Announces 'Dualism' New York City Listening Party
August 22, 2011Dutch progressive technical metal band TEXTURES has announced two exclusive listening parties for its fourth album, "Dualism", scheduled for release on September 23 in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia and September 27 in North America. The U.S. listening party will begin at 9 p.m. at Idle Hands Bar, located at 25 Avenue B (Downstairs) in New York City, on Wednesday, August 31, just two days before the band kicks off its first-ever North American tour with PERIPHERY, THE HUMAN ABSTRACT, and THE CONTORTIONIST. The entire band will be in attendance to chat, sign autographs, and drink whiskey! On the other side of the world, TEXTURES will have another listening party the very same day in Mumbai, India at the B69 venue starting at 9 p.m. The Mumbai listening party is organized in co-operation with Mixtape (India); the Indian band SCRIBE will perform live.
The "Dualism" CD can be pre-ordered from Nuclear Blast USA's webshop; pre-order bundles that include band t-shirts can be purchased from IndieMerch.com. All IndieMerch.com pre-order bundles will be automatically entered into a raffle to win a TEXTURES Mayones guitar.
"Dualism" was recorded at Split Second Sound Studio in Amsterdam and was produced by TEXTURES guitar player Jochem Jacobs, who helmed all of the band's previous albums. The CD cover artwork was designed by former TEXTURES frontman Eric Kalsbeek and the band's bass player Remko Tielemans.

TEXTURES last year announced the addition of keyboardist/samplist Uri Dijk to the group's ranks.
Keyboard player Richard Rietdijk left TEXTURES in April 2010 to pursue other interests.
TEXTURES made its first appearance with vocalist Daniel de Jongh (exCILICE) at the Fortarock festival in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
TEXTURES's last album, "Silhouettes", was released in North America on September 30, 2008 via Listenable/Koch. The CD entered the Dutch chart at position No. 100. This was the band's first chart showing ever.
