TEXTURES Parts Ways With Bassist, Announces Temporary Replacement

June 27, 2007

Dutch progressive metallers TEXTURES have issued the following update:

"Due to personal reasons, our bass player Dennis [Aarts] has decided to leave the band and focus on his personal life for a while. We're surely going to miss him! We wish him tons of luck in all his future endeavors and thank him for all these years of fun, crazy heavy music and crushing the stage with us. We're currently in the process of finding a new bass player. Michel 'MuD' Quak will temporarily replace Dennis during the upcoming CYNIC show and U.K. tour. We'll keep you posted.

"In September we will continue writing our new album, which we hope to start recording in November. We set our minds to a 2008 spring release, of course, followed by a big number of new shows to support the new material. We can't wait to crush you all with new songs!"

TEXTURES' latest album, "Drawing Circles", was released in April 2006 via France's Listenable Records. The band's self-produced debut CD, "Polars", was originally issued through the group's own label and was later re-released through Listenable.
