THE ACACIA STRAIN Announces Headlining Tour

October 8, 2007

Western Massachusetts purveyors of all things heavy THE ACACIA STRAIN have confirmed most dates for an upcoming fall headlining tour, dubbed Crashing Through the Holidays, to continue supporting the band's latest release, "The Dead Walk". Joining the band on the road will be DESPISED ICON, FULL BLOWN CHAOS and the TONY DANZA TAPDANCE EXTRAVAGANZA, with additional support from RECON, IMPLOSIVE DISGORGANCE and LIGEIA on select dates. Currently wrapping up dates alongside Prosthetic labelmates ALL THAT REMAINS as well as PROTEST THE HERO and TOO PURE TO DIE, THE ACACIA STRAIN will take a month off the road before heading back out in late November.

"We're wicked excited for this tour," frontman Vincent Bennet says. "I've wanted to tour with all of these bands forever, and we finally are. We are going to be playing some songs that we haven't played in forever or haven't been able to play due to the lack of a second guitar (hint) and will be showcasing a new song or two. Expect a ton of 'thumbs up' and some serious hangouts. Save your pennies too, because we are going to have a bunch of one time only merch designs! I can think of no better way to ring in the holiday season than with all the bands on this tour.

"Sorry to our friends in the Great White North though, we are seriously trying to stay away from those dangerous snow-covered roadways. I promise we will make it up to you when the warmer weather hits."
