December 30, 2008

Massachusetts heavy-hitters THE ACACIA STRAIN filmed their December 28, 2008 concert at the Palladium in Worcester, MA for a forthcoming DVD. The footage was shot by longtime THE ACACIA STRAIN friends and cohorts MyGoodEye, headed up by director David Brodsky, the man responsible for both the "Angry Mob Justice" video from the 2006 album "The Dead Walk" as well as the video for "Skynet", the lead track off THE ACACIA STRAIN's fourth full-length effort "Continent" (Prosthetic Records).

Check out photos from the DVD shoot at TheMetalUnion.net.

Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be viewed below (clips uploaded by "DietThatguyPlus").

THE ACACIA STRAIN sold almost 5,600 copies of its new album, "Continent", in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 107 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD debuted at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
