THE ACCUSED: More U.S. Tour Dates Announced

June 20, 2005

Legendary splatter rockers THE ACCUSED have issued their first album in over ten years, entitled "Oh, Martha!" The new CD was recorded by Jack Endino at Scotty Crane's Soundhouse Studios in Seattle and was mastered by Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER).

"Oh, Martha!" features 16 new tracks by THE ACCUSED, plus the 20th anniversary re-recordings of the 1985 classic (and rare) five-song "Martha Splatterhead" EP tracks.

THE ACCUSED are taking the DYI (do-it-yourself) approach on this project by releasing it on their own label Condar Records, the same label that released "Martha Splatterhead". Order the album online at this location.

THE ACCUSED are highly regarded as a stand-alone, influential group who helped pioneer the fusion of heavy metal and hardcore punk in the 1980s. Being put off by trendy genre labels like "crossover," they coined their unique, powerful hybrid noise, "splatter rock," in 1984.

THE ACCUSED reformed in 2003, marking the return of Blaine Cook, Tommy Niemeyer, Alex Sibbald and former drummer Steve "O-Ring" Nelson. This is the same rock-solid lineup as on 1989's "Hymns for the Deranged" EP and 1989's massive Splattered Straight U.S. tour with Seattle straight edge heroes BROTHERHOOD.

CANNIBAL CORPSE recently covered THE ACCUSED's song "Bethany Home" from the LP titled "More Fun Than an Open Casket Funeral". Randy Blythe from LAMB OF GOD is showing his support of THE ACCUSED on their current tour by flying THE ACCUSED colors.
