THE ACCUSED To Team Up With DAYGLO ABORTIONS For European Tour

March 9, 2007

THE ACCUSED will team up with DAYGLO ABORTIONS for a three-week European tour in May/June. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

THE ACCUSED recently posted two songs from their latest studio session — "Fuck Sorry" and "Scotty Came Back" — at their official web site, www.splatterrock.com.

The session that yielded the "Why Even Try?" EP was helmed by Randall Dunn at a recording facility in Seattle only last month as THE ACCUSED was preparing to leave for its now-cancelled European tour with CRUMBSUCKERS.

THE ACCUSED will use its newfound "free time" to continue writing material for the band's new full-length release, due out this summer; and perform a few live shows in the Pacific Northwest.

The "Why Even Try?" EP marks the debut of the "new" THE ACCUSED lineup, which features Brad Mowen (BURNING WITCH, AVSA, 90 PROOF, MOMMY, SWEATY NIPPLES, APES OF WRATH) on vocals, Mike Peterson (BAM BAM, MOMMY, APES OF WRATH, SEAN) on drums, Prof. Iman A. Phid (formerly "Father Shark" of industrial/metal perverts THE PLEASURE ELITE) on bass and original guitarist Tommy Niemeyer.

THE ACCUSED's first album in over ten years, "Oh, Martha!" was recorded by Jack Endino at Scotty Crane's Soundhouse Studios in Seattle and was mastered by Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER). The CD, which was originally issued in the U.S. in 2005, was released in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records.
