THE AGONIST: Footage From Venezuela Trip Posted Online
December 17, 2009Montreal, Quebec, Canada's THE AGONIST has posted a video recap of the band's trip to Venezuela to play a one-off show on September 27, 2009 in Caracas. Watch the four-and-a-half-minute clip below.
THE AGONIST will play two shows in Japan in February:
Feb. 11 - The Live House (Soma) - Osaka, JPN
Feb. 12 - Daikanyama Unit - Tokyo, JPN
THE AGONIST's sophomore album, "Lullabies For A Dormant Mind", debuted at No. 105 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Produced by Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY, MYTHOSIS),"Lullabies for the Dormant Mind" exposes new facets of the band and touches upon classical, jazz, opera, grindcore, thrash and black metal influences in a complete metal opus. The CD features guest violins by Avi Ludmer (MAHOGANY RUSH),orchestrations by classical pianists Melina Soochan and Jonathan Lefrancois-Leduc (BLACKGUARD) along with many other Montreal-based contributors.
