THE AGONIST Parts Ways With Guitarist, Announces Replacement
May 18, 2010Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based female-fronted metallers THE AGONIST have parted ways with guitarist Chris Adolph and have replaced him with Pascal Jobin.
THE AGONIST will embark on a U.S. tour in July/August with OTEP, THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE and BENEATH THE SKY.

"Lullabies For A Dormant Mind", the sophomore album from THE AGONIST, debuted at No. 105 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Produced by Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY, MYTHOSIS),"Lullabies for the Dormant Mind" exposes new facets of the band and touches upon classical, jazz, opera, grindcore, thrash and black metal influences in a complete metal opus. The CD features guest violins by Avi Ludmer (MAHOGANY RUSH),orchestrations by classical pianists Melina Soochan and Jonathan Lefrancois-Leduc (BLACKGUARD) along with many other Montreal-based contributors.
