August 17, 2006

Producer/guitarist Joshua Craig of THE ALIEN BLAKK is accepting students in the Phoenix, Az. and Los Angeles, Ca. area for a limited amount of time. The esteemed guitarist will accept students who are at an advanced place in their musical interests. The one-hour each lessons will be given only until Joshua Craig's band starts its "30 Dates in 30 Days Tour" U S tour on November 2. Interested parties can contact [email protected] and include their phone numbers for details.

THE ALIEN BLAKK is a predominantly instrumental project led Craig, with contributions from former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson and FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen. The group's debut album, entitled "Modes of Alienation", is described as "a frenetic mix of FRANK ZAPPA meets MESHUGGAH with a hint of GUNS N' ROSES." The styles range from metal, latin-jazz, country, rock, classical then back to a wall of acoustically composed arrangements. All music on "Modes of Alienation" was produced, written, arranged and recorded in three diffrent locations by Joshua Craig and was mixed at Steve Vai's The Mothership recording studio. There is also an accompanying 22-song CD that contains guest appearances from members of TESTAMENT, FEAR FACTORY, SACRED REICH, FIGHT and other special guests.
