THE AMENTA To Release 'Nastier, Uglier, Darker' New Album In September

Australia's extreme industrial metal collective THE AMENTA has nearly finished preliminary work on the full-length follow-up to 2004's "Occasus", tentatively due in September. The band describes the new material as "more ambient than what came before, nastier, uglier, darker... [like the] sounds of a collective sick of playing by rules." Working songtitles include "Junky", "Whore", "Slave" and "Skin".

In other news, THE AMENTA's long-awaited DVD, "Virus", will finally surface in late 2007. A sample clip from the upcoming DVD, called "Parasite", is still available for viewing at this location.
