THE AMENTA Working On Two New Releases
May 26, 2006Australian industrial-tinged extremists THE AMENTA are currently in the studio working on two distinct follow-ups to 2004's acclaimed "Occasus". From the multimedia/propaganda arm of THE AMENTA comes an exercise in churning electronics, searing distortion and factory ambience. To be released as an Internet release through www.theamenta.com as well as an extremely limited DVD pressing complete with manipulated visuals and binary code. And then the full-length follow up to "Occasus".
"Occasus" was engineered and mixed by Lachlan Mitchell, keyboardist for Australian black metal legends NAZXUL. The recording process spanned five months from January to May 2004 and took place in many different studios throughout Sydney, finally being mixed at the newly refurbished BJB studios and mastered at Studios 301.
