THE BERZERKER Pull Out Of England's DAMNATION FESTIVAL

July 4, 2006

Australian industrial death metal phenomenon THE BERZERKER have cancelled their previously announced appearance at the Damnation Festival 2006, set to take place October 15 in Manchester, England. According to the festival organizers, "an unprofessional breakdown in communication between their U.K. booking agent and the band itself led to the decision that THE BERZERKER would not return to these shores in October. The organisers of Damnation Festival would like to apologise to the fans for the cancellation and promise a replacement of the highest calibre will be drafted into fill the slot."

In related news, THE SENSELESS, the solo studio project of THE BERZERKER's Sam Bean, will release its debut album in the spring of 2007 via Anticulture Records. According to a press release, "THE SENSELESS presents a new take on incredibly fast melodic harsh death!" Sam, who relocated to the U.K. from Australia earlier in the year, is due to begin recording the effort when he "flies back to Oz," but the label hopes to have an MP3 taster ready by the end of the year.
