THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Frontman To Guest On New LIGHT THIS CITY CD

March 20, 2006

Bay Area thrash revivalists LIGHT THIS CITY have entered Castle Ultimate Studios in Emeryville, CA with producer Zack Ohren (ANIMOSITY, ALL SHALL PERISH) to begin recording the follow-up to 2005's "Remains of the God". Mario Garza (HELL WITHIN, HE IS LEGEND) of Robot Plague will be handling artwork again, having already crafted the art for "Remains of the Gods". Meanwhile, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER vocalist Trevor Strnad will make a guest vocal appearance on one of the forthcoming songs.

Commented drummer Ben Murray: "So we are in our third week of recording and we are currently tracking vocals and lead guitars. Everything is coming along great and the songs are sounding epic! Expect 'Remains of the Gods' to be more brutal, yet more intricate and melodic at the same time. We are extremely excited about hearing the finished product and playing these songs live when the album is released in August or September."

LIGHT THIS CITY will make an appearance at the eighth annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on Sunday, April 30 alongside Prosthetic Records labelmates BYZANTINE, CANNAE, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, THE ACACIA STRAIN, and WOLF. The band will also appear at the first annual California Metalfest in San Bernadino with labelmates REFLUX.

Upcoming LIGHT THIS CITY shows:

Apr. 01 - Redwood City, CA - The PCC
Apr. 30 - Worcester, MA - The Palladium (New England Metal and Hardcore Festival)
May 13 - San Bernadino, CA - NOS Events Center (California Metalfest)
