THE BLACK LEAGUE To Release New Single In November
October 18, 2003Finland's THE BLACK LEAGUE, the band featuring former SENTENCED frontman Taneli Jarva, will release a brand-new single next month through Spinefarm Records subsidiary Ranch (web site). The disc will contain an as-yet-undisclosed track off the group's third full-length album, "Man's Ruin Revisited", which is currently being recorded at Seawolf Studios (web site) in Suomenlinna (just outside Helsinki). An early 2004 release through Ranch is expected.
Among the tracks set to appear on "Man's Ruin Revisited" are the following:

03. Steal Your Heart
04. Lost in the Shadows (I Walk Alone)
05. Mad Ol' Country
06. Alive and Dead
07. Black Water Fever
In other news, THE BLACK LEAGUE have booked a one-off gig on December 3 at Club 45 Special in their hometown of Oulu.
As previously reported, Jarva is currently working with a new Finnish death metal supergroup called CHAOSBREED. The quintet, who are rounded out by drummer Nalle Österman (ex-GANDALF),bassist Oppu Laine (ex-AMORPHIS, MANNHAI),guitarist Marko Tarvonen (MOONSORROW),and guitarist Esa Holopainen (AMORPHIS),recently completed work on their debut album, "Brutal", at CCPC studio in Finland with producers Santeri Kallio and Niclas Etelävuori. The album, which includes guest appearances by ENTOMBED guitarist Uffe Cederlund and bassist Jörgen Sandström, is slated for release in early 2004 through an as-yet-undetermined label.
