THE BLUEPRINT Play 'Secret' U.K. Gig
November 29, 2002THE BLUEPRINT, the Nottingham, UK-based group consisting of former PITCHSHIFTER guitarist Matt Grundy, ex-EARTHTONE9 singer Karl Middleton, PITCHSHIFTER bassist Mark Clayden, CONSUMED guitarist Will Burchell and CONSUMED drummer Chris Billam, played a secret gig last night in their hometown of Nottingham, where they shared the stage at Rock City with old friends and current labelmates VACANT STARE. Billam was unable to make the show due to other commitments, so Simon Hutchby, skinsman from the now-defunct EARTHTONE9 took over for the evening. The gig (for the Nottingham Rock Society) saw the boys give a sneak preview of two new songs, never previous played for the public. The tracks are set to be released on THE BLUEPRINT's upcoming second EP, due in early 2003 through Copro Records.
