THE CHELSEA SMILES Announces New Guitarist

THE CHELSEA SMILES, a rock 'n roll/glam band formed in 2004 featuring guitarist Todd Youth (ex-MURPHYS LAW, D-GENERATION, DANZIG),bassist Johnny Martin and drummer Karl "Rockfist" Rosqvist, has announced the addition of guitarist and Detroit native RJ Ronquillo to the group's ranks. RJ, who is an in-demand studio player, met Todd Youth through the various studio work they both do in the Los Angeles area.

RJ has played on albums from SANTANA, 2PAC and DMX, to name a few.

THE CHELSEA SMILES recently signed a worldwide licensing deal with DR2/Demolition Records to release the group's new CD. The as-yet-untitled album is due in early 2009.

THE CHELSEA SMILES has toured with SOCIAL DISTORTION, BACKYARD BABIES and the NEW YORK DOLLS.

The band has been recording with Howard Willing (SMASHING PUMPKINS, LIZ PHAIR, OK GO). In between recording, Youth has been touring with country music star Glen Campbell.

THE CHELSEA SMILES will support WEDNESDAY 13 on a U.K. tour in March.
