THE CLAN DESTINED To Collaborate With JAMES MURPHY

March 10, 2005

THE CLAN DESTINED frontman Martin Walkyier (ex-SKYCLAD) has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"Greetings brothers and sisters! Firstly, I would like to begin this update by offering my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of legendary D.J. Tommy Vance, who tragically died earlier this week from a heart attack. During the course of his long and outstanding career he was always a stalwart supporter of the underground heavy metal music scene. I will be eternally grateful to him for offering live-sessions to both my former bands, SABBAT and SKYCLAD, upon the awesome BBC Radio 1 'Friday Rock Show'. I am deeply saddened that he’ll now be unable to hear any of the music we’re working on with THE CLAN DESTINED. Despite all the enormous success he'd achieved over numerous decades, Tommy was a man who always remained true to his musical roots. He is totally irreplaceable, and will be greatly missed by both heavy metal fans and musicians alike. Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again soon in Valhalla!

"THE CLAN DESTINED will shortly be joining forces with American producer and guitar-god James Murphy, who is flying over to the U.K. to assist with the completion of our 'In The Big Ending…' demo debut. This esteemed collaboration is something that we are all looking forward to very much indeed. Keep checking the pages of this website for regular updates of how things are progressing with the TCD recordings. The cover artwork for the demo is now nearing completion. Our artist Paul McCarroll has most kindly allowed me to share with you a small excerpt from the final design. As with almost everything you’ve seen and heard of TCD to date, it is merely a fragment of a far bigger picture!"
