THE CULT: 'Born Into This' E-Card Available

An e-card for THE CULT's new album, "Born into This" — full of desktops, IM icons, video, and audio — can be accessed at this location.

Roadrunner Records U.K. will release a limited-edition etched pink vinyl 7" single of THE CULT's "Dirty Little Rock Star" on September 24. It is a pink colored disc with "Dirty Little Rock Star" on side A and the band logo etched on the B-side.

As previously reported, another brand new track from THE CULT, entitled "I Assassin", is available for download at this location (free sign-up required). THE CULT's previous single, "Dirty Little Rock Star", can be streamed in its entirety at this location. Both tracks come off "Born into This", due on October 2 in North America via Roadrunner Records (September 28 in Europe). The tentative track listing for the CD is as follows (songtitles listed in alphabetical order):

The group's first CD since 2001 was recently recorded in London with producer Youth (VERVE, PRIMAL SCREAM),who added final touches and mixing.

THE CULT is in talks with THE BRAVERY and BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB about joining forces for a U.S. tour beginning in October. Exact cities and dates for the trek, which is expected to last around seven weeks, will be announced soon.

A video interview with THE CULT, conducted on June 24, 2007 at the Coke Live Festival in Bucharest, Romania, has been posted at Metalhead.ro. Video footage of THE CULT's performance at the festival can be seen here.

THE CULT's current touring lineup includes principals Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy alongside bassist Chris Wyse, drummer John Tempesta (ex-WHITE ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HELMET) and rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich.

A number of clips from THE CULT's new concert DVD, entitled "New York City", have been posted at AT&T Blue Room (Note: To navigate through all the clips in the series, scroll through the menu in the upper right). Released on August 28, the disc was recorded live at The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza on November 13, 2006.
