THE CULT has set "Born Into This" as the title of its new album, tentatively due on September 25 via Roadrunner Records in conjunction with THE CULT's imprint label, New Wilderness. The group's first CD since 2001 was recently recorded in London with producer Youth (VERVE, PRIMAL SCREAM),who will be adding final touches and mixing.
THE CULT's current touring lineup includes principals Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy alongside bassist Chris Wyse, drummer John Tempesta (ex-WHITE ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HELMET) and rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich.
ILL NINO has posted a new track, entitled "Alibi of Tyrants", on its MySpace page. The track comes off the group's forthcoming album, "Enigma", due on July 17 via Cement Shoes Records.
ILL NINO's last release was the "The Undercover Sessions" EP, which came out in November through Cement Shoes. The CD was comprised of three of ILL NINO's favorite cover songs from bands they loved growing up as fans, and two brand new songs — all overseen by legendary producer Andy Johns (LED ZEPPELIN, VAN HALEN, OZZY OSBOURNE),Dave Chavarri and Eddie Wohl (ANTHRAX, 36 CRAZYFISTS, MACHINE HEAD). The EP was the band's first release through Cement Shoes following their split with the Roadrunner label.
