THE CULT's BILLY DUFFY Talks Guitars; Video Available
March 15, 2008Throughout the '80s, into the '90s, and even today, THE CULT's guitarist Billy Duffy, has made an impact on alternative rock with his use of memorable melodic lines, swirling effects and howling feedback. Prior to taking the stage to a raucous crowd in Phoenix, Billy took time out to talk to Gretsch about his affections for White Falcon guitars, his future with THE CULT, and the importance of matching a great-looking Gretsch guitar with an equally good-looking haircut.

THE CULT's latest album, "Born into This", sold 12,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 70 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded in London with producer Youth (VERVE, PRIMAL SCREAM).
THE CULT's current touring lineup includes principals Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy alongside bassist Chris Wyse, drummer John Tempesta (ex-WHITE ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HELMET) and rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich.
