THE CURSED/Ex-HADES Guitarist Releases New Solo Track
July 27, 2007THE CURSED/ex-HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo has issued the following update:
"I've just posted a new solo song on my web site called 'What I Like' that I recorded a few months ago. It features Scottie LePage age 13 at the time (now 14) on ALL the guitar tracks. Scottie's dad Scott LePage played lead guitar on the first HADES album 'Resisting Success'. Scott moved to Dallas about ten years ago and I've gone to visit him a couple times a year since then. His son Scottie started playing guitar a couple years ago, and every time I visit I'm shocked at Scottie's improvement. I've never had, or felt the need to have anybody else play guitar on my three solo CDs except for Scott playing some leads on my third solo CD, 'Cut From A Different Cloth'. I thought it would be pretty amazing if Scott's son played on my newest song if he could handle it, and the kid nailed it as if he had been recording his whole life. Eazy Ezekiel from the AMISH OUTLAWS played bass, I just sang and played harmonica at the top of the track."
An e-card for the debut album from THE CURSED — the new band featuring vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (OVERKILL) and former HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo — is available at this location. Entitled "Room Full of Sinners", the CD was released on June 26 via Screaming Ferret Wreckords. The album was completed at Crystal Studios in New Jersey, before and after OVERKILL's successful stint on the Gigantour, which also featured MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD. Mike Koenig from Crystal Studios engineered.
THE CURSED made its live debut on May 20 at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. Also appearing on the bill were former ANTHRAX singer Joey Belladonna and THE SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS (playing a set of metal classics by METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, KING DIAMOND and SLAYER).
