April 26, 2006

THE DARKNESS's video for their latest single, "Girlfriend", has been posted online at TheDarknessRock.com. The track comes off the British group's second studio album, "One Way Ticket to Hell …and Back", which was released last November. The album was the follow-up to THE DARKNESS' 2003 debut, "Permission to Land", (Must Destroy/Atlantic),which was certified gold in the United States for sales in excess of half a million copies.

As previously reported, THE DARKNESS frontman Justin Hawkins will be appearing on "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" on BBC One on April 28 at 10:35 p.m. to talk about the band's recent tour of the U.K., their new single "Girlfriend" and some exclusive revelations about his plans for his solo project BRITISH WHALE. The singer will also be part of the Inaugural Celebrity Challenge on BBC Two's "Top Gear" on Sunday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m. Hawkins will be behind the wheel of the new "reasonably priced car," trying to better the spectacular 1.48-second lap he set in July 2005.
