September 16, 2008

Guitarist Ben Weinman of New Jersey's THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and vocalist Olly Mitchell of UK's JOHNNY TRUANT were interviewed for this week's edition of the "The Governor's Ball". You can download the program at this location.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN's 1998 album "Under the Running Board" will be reissued on October 14 via Relapse. The new CD will include the entire Steve Evetts-produced effort as well as 10 as-yet-undisclosed bonus tracks.

"Under the Running Board" featured the contributions of singer Dimitri Minakakis who left the group afer the release of 1999's "Calculating Infinity".

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN recently completed a U.S. tour with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and is currently home in the early stages of writing for its follow-up album to "Ire Works".

JOHNNY TRUANT recently inked a deal with Ferret Music. The band's new album, entitled "No Tears For The Creatures", will be released in the U.S. on September 30.

According to a press release, JOHNNY TRUANT plays music that Kerrang! magazine has called "technically outstanding and sonically devastating" and Rock Sound referred to as "another brutal metallic assault even more twisted, bitter and distorted."

In existence since 2001, JOHNNY TRUANT has toured with such artists as CANCER BATS, THE FALL OF TROY, THE END, ALEXISONFIRE, THE BLED and played the prestigious Download festival.
