THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Turning Heads With 'Unretrofied' Video

August 12, 2005

Relapse Records recording artists THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN are breaking new ground with the release of their latest music video, "Unretrofied". The hyper-advanced clip is taken from the band's forward-thinking release, "Miss Machine".

The DILLINGER video was written and directed by Josh Graham (ENON, NO DOUBT, JURASSIC 5) and features the band "assembled as retro 'Westworld'-style robots as we witness the birth of THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN."

Response to the DILLINGER video has been outstanding and immediate. The Fuse network has accepted "Unretrofied" into rotation on both its "Oven Fresh" and "Steven's Untitled Rock Show" programs. "Oven Fresh" "gives the power of the programming over to the fans" by allowing them to vote to see more or less of the hottest new videos each week.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN appears as an "Oven Fresh" artist this week alongside 50 CENT, SILVERSTEIN, SYSTEM OF A DOWN and others.

The "Unretrofied" video was also added to MTV-U. MTV-U is "the definitive college network for students at universities across the country." The network can be found on over 700 campuses, reaching over 6 million students in dining halls, student lounges, fitness centers, and dorm rooms: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Other artists with videos currently in rotation on MTV-U in addition to DILLINGER include THE ARCADE FIRE, BECK, KASABIAN, MARIAH CAREY, MISSY ELLIOTT, NINE INCH NAILS and THE KILLERS.

The "Unretrofied" video has been posted online at the Relapse Records web site at this location. The single is currently being added to rotation at major alternative/rock stations across the U.S.
