THE DIME SHIRT Now Available On EBAY

In response to the massive international upsurge in interest in The Dime Shirt — the creation of Melbourne screenprinter and PANTERA fan, Daniel McDougall, who is also vocalist with the Australian metal group BLOCK — the shirt has now been made available via eBay.com.au. "But don't worry, it's not an auction," reads a statement from the people selling the shirt. "Simply look for the seller 'Katscoimpex', follow the prompts and you'll be able to pay by PayPal direct and buy a shirt immediately! (Australian buyers can also pay by bank deposit). You can pay in U.S. dollars, euros, British pounds, Australian dollars or Canadian dollars at this site. And remember — we're not making a cent out of this. All we ask when you get the shirt is that you send us a photo of you and your mates wearing your shirts wherever you are in the world to show Vinnie Paul how much love and support he has from the metalheads of the world!"

McDougall is selling The Dime Shirts for just $5 each. He stands to make nothing for the time and effort he has thus far contributed but believes the low price will encourage as many people as possible to buy one for themselves and one for each of their friends; draw attention to the real cost of producing a t-shirt in the aim that people will reject similar commemorative items that will be inevitably overpriced.

"It's very important to me that people realize that we're not profiteering here," says McDougall, who has thus far enlisted a team of 10 volunteers to help spread the word. "We're doing this to create a feeling of unity and togetherness in the music community and it's working. I can't print them fast enough because everyone wants to buy more than one."
