THE ETERNAL: New Lineup Announced
January 20, 2007Acclaimed Australian atmospheric/gothic/doom metal band THE ETERNAL has issued the following update:
"We would like to welcome James O'Toole as our new bass player. After quite a few months of working together we are pleased to have James officially onboard. James's song writing ability and great bass technique are an asset to the band and we look forward to introducing him to you on tour very shortly. Marty O'Shea has also returned on drums after a year's absence from the band. Most of you will know Marty from his great work on our last album, 'Sleep of Reason'.
"Guitarist Lincoln Bowen has taken an extended leave of absence due to the not-so-distant arrival of his second child. Terry Vainoras (CANYONAERO, INSOMNIUS DEI) will be taking his place for the foreseeable future.
"We look forward to getting these boys on the road! Rehearsals have been going well and we are also beginning to introduce new material into the live set."
THE ETERNAL 2007 touring lineup:
Mark Kelson: Guitar and Vocals
Terry Vainoras: Guitar and Backing Vocals

"Every one of the 16 tracks we have written [for the upcoming album, tentatively titled 'Kartika'] [is] quite different from each other, so what you will be hearing is just a small taste of what is to come!" the band says. Other songs set to appear on the CD include "Silence", "Brighter Day", "Blood", "I've Seen The Dream Through Someone Else's Eyes", "Sunshine" and "Inside The Grey".
THE ETERNAL released its sophomore album, "Sleep of Reason", in 2005 through Firebox Records to critical acclaim, with stunning artwork provided by renowned artist Travis Smith.
