THE FIFTH SUN: 'The Hunger to Survive' To Arrive This Month

October 5, 2005

Minnesota-based melodic death metallers THE FIFTH SUN, whose current lineup includes Swedish drummer Patrik J. Sten (PASSENGER, ex-KEROZENE, TRANSPORT LEAGUE),have issued the following update:

"We will have the [second] album ['The Hunger to Survive'] back from manufacture in a few short days. 8-page full color booklet, she looks lean and mean! T-shirts, Long sleeves, Hoodies, and hats have been ordered and will arrive in a week or so.

"Tentative release date for 'The Hunger to Survive' is October 18th, although we may push it back to October 25th, depending on several key factors.

"We had been toying with the idea of playing a few shows in the Midwest, but due to Studio Fredman [in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Patrik is employed] being busy as hell, Patrik couldn't leave Fredrik in the studio all alone, so we will not play them. We will, however, be playing 20 to 30 selected dates in 2006, so keep an eye out for those dates. They will be announced here when they are confirmed.

"Last, but certainly not least, we have some great news!!! Patrik and his lovely lady, Maria, are expecting a new addition to the family on February 20th. We are very excited for them and you should be too!"

"The Hunger to Survive" was recorded at Studio Fredman and is the follow-up to the group's debut album, 2001's "The Moment of Truth".
