THE FIRSTBORN To Enter Studio In January

September 29, 2007

Portugal's avantgarde extremists THE FIRSTBORN will enter Foel Studio in Wales in January 2008 to begin recording their new album, "The Noble Search".

The studio, an old analogue facility established in 1974 (where names such as HAWKWIND, OZRIC TENTACLES, BLUE CHEER, NAPALM DEATH and more recently PRIMORDIAL have recorded),was chosen to capture the organic atmosphere the band envisioned for "The Noble Search".

The follow-up to 2005's critically acclaimed "The Unclenching of Fists", "The Noble Search" will feature around 45 minutes of dark and often complex music, being a natural progression for the band. Based on the Buddhist Scriptures, the album will feature THE FIRSTBORN's trademark blend of extreme metal with Far Eastern chanting and instrumentation.

A release date is still to be set.
