THE GATES OF SLUMBER Teams Up With SPIRITUS MORTIS For Split CD

Indianapolis, Indiana's THE GATES OF SLUMBER and Finland's first-ever doom metal band SPIRITUS MORTIS have teamed up for a limited split CD release entitled "From The Ultima Thule" by Emissary Records. The split CD features two new exclusive songs from THE GATES OF SLUMBER and an old song rerecorded for this venture, paired with a cover of "The Riddle Master" from MANILLA ROAD and two live covers from SAINT VITUS: "The War Starter" (featuring Dave Sherman from EARTHRIDE, SPIRIT CARAVAN and WRETCHED on vocals) and "One Mind".

THE GATES OF SLUMBER is currently finishing the writing process for its third album which will be recorded by Sanford Parker at Volume Ear Studio (RWAKE, LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, MINSK) and is slated for an early 2008 release via I Hate (Europe) / Profound Lore (USA). SPIRITUS MORTIS just celebrated its 20th anniversary with a tour of Finland and a re-release of its first album on vinyl through Metal Warning association. SPIRITUS MORTIS will also participate in the "Knock 'Em Down To the Size" vinyl 7” sampler via Metal Coven (Germany) with the song "Sweet Oblivion".
