THE GATHERING, GREEN CARNATION, UNEXPECT To Take Part In THE END RECORDS SXSW Showcase

The End Records has announced their annual showcase at this year's South By Southwest music festival taking place March 15-19 in Austin, Texas. The label showcase will feature four bands from the label's unique and eclectic roster. Those participating this year are Dutch rock act THE GATHERING, Norwegian prog masters GREEN CARNATION, sound enthusiasts GIANT SQUID and the bizarre UNEXPECT. All are making their debuts at SXSW.

The End Records' SXSW Showcase is scheduled for Thursday, March 16 at The Lava Lounge in Austin. The exact running order is as follows:

8:30 GIANT SQUID
9:30 UNEXPECT
10:30 THE GATHERING
11:30 GREEN CARNATION
12:45 BEYOND THE EMBRACE (Metal Blade Records)

Both THE GATHERING (with GIANT SQUID and UNEXPECT) and GREEN CARNATION (with Metal Blade's BEYOND THE EMBRACE) will continue touring following their festival appearances. THE GATHERING will take part in a small U.S. tour as part of their Homelands world tour to promote their forthcoming album "Home" (out on The End Records this spring),while GREEN CARNATION are on their first-ever North American tour in support of their recently released "Acoustic Verses" (on The End Records).
