THE GLITTERATI Signs With DR2 RECORDS

September 23, 2009

Global Music has announced the signing of Leeds, U.K.-based rockers THE GLITTERATI to DR2 Records.

THE GLITTERATI first burst onto the scene back in 2003 when they released their debut single "Do You Love Yourself?", which roused a huge amount of interest from the British music press, including a nomination for "Best British Newcomer" at the Kerrang! Awards.

Their 2005 self-titled debut, produced by Mike Clink (GUNS N' ROSES, METALLICA),received rave reviews and secured the band a loyal fanbase with energetic live performances supporting acts such as KINGS OF LEON, THE KILLERS, JET, EVANESCENCE, DAVID LEE ROTH, THE WILDHEARTS, THE DATSUNS and SIMPLE PLAN.

THE GLITTERATI commented on their latest move to DR2: "After meeting the team at Global Music [and] DR2 we knew it was the right label for us. Their work ethic, passion and commitment to their artist roster is second to none and we are very excited to be working with them."
