THE GREAT DECEIVER Signs With DEATHWISH INC.

May 4, 2007

Sweden's THE GREAT DECEIVER has officially signed with Deathwish Inc. for the release of their new album.

THE GREAT DECEIVER is the vision of vocal legend Tomas Lindberg (AT THE GATES, DISFEAR, THE CROWN) and longtime friend Kristian Wahlin (NECROLORD),visual artist to legendary bands AT THE GATES, DISSECTION, etc. They formed the band just after the demise of AT THE GATES in 1999.

THE GREAT DECEIVER has constantly evolved since its inception, progressing past the trends of the day, they have made a career of defying limiting classifications. With releases on labels as diverse as Trustkill Records (BLEEDING THROUGH, THIS IS HELL, etc.) and Peaceville Records (PARADISE LOST, AT THE GATES, etc.),they've solidified their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in both the metal and hardcore worlds.

In 2007, THE GREAT DECEIVER will release "Life Is Wasted On The Living", their new album on Deathwish. Produced and engineered by Berno Paulsson (THE HAUNTED),"Life Is Wasted On The Living" takes their trend killing approach to new heights. Combining the intensity of hardcore, the power of metal, and the hook-laden repetition of industrial, into a new kind of musical apocalypse.

The band is currently putting the finishing touches on the album. In the meantime, check out the unmastered song "Home To Oblivion"here.
