THE HAUNTED Explain Decision To Drop Off MACHINE HEAD Tour

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET exclusively reported on April 7, Swedish thrashers THE HAUNTED have now officially confirmed the cancellation of their participation in the upcoming MACHINE HEAD U.S. tour.

"We are sad to announce that we will have to cancel our appearances on the planned tour with MACHINE HEAD in the US in May 2005," THE HAUNTED write on their web site. "This is due to illness within the close family of several members in the band and we need to be close by in case things should get worse."

THE HAUNTED are still expected to perform on the second stage at this year's Ozzfest, which kicks off July 15 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
